Seasonal Variations Below

The spouse of Námo, Vairë weaves the tapestries of history (which of course means I've been looking for a loom for her to use in the game.  Haven't found one, and though I've been puttering with trying to make one based on an easel, there've been some problems getting the frame to look right.  Someday, perhaps...).  From the first, I had always envisioned Vairë's gown as one with a net or mesh pattern to it, but the first few attempts didn't come off well (mesh was too small, worked in Sim Pose but not in the game, mesh was too big didn't work in either, and then there was the matter of not wanting her to come off looking like some streetwalking hussy in fishnets...).  The gown eventually sorted itself out, as did her face.  I had wanted her to have a sort of Far Eastern "flavor" to her face, thinking of the fine silk weaving and embroidery for which the Oriental cultures are known.  That slightly exotic look also had the benefit of distinguishing her from the other dark-haired Valier, which when you're talking about tiny Sims in the game is a good thing, I think.

*Although I was less displeased with my original version of Vairë than I was with a number of the other Ainur, after updating several of the others, I found that she was beginning to look... well, shabby in their company, so I decided to make some changes. Her gown still retains the net overlay look of the original, but with a more complex design, and her face and hair were touched up to improve what little realism is possible with the Sims. For those who like the original, they're still available below. But take note: The head meshes are not sympatico with the other's circlet. Using the new head with the old body mesh with circlet, the back of the main band will disappear into her hair; using the old head with the new body mesh with circlet, the back of the band will protrude noticeably beyond the back of her head, with empty air in between. So if you like one body and one head, I recommend not using the body versions with the circlet.
