King of Gondolin, grandfather of Eärendil, great-grandfather of Elrond, the original wielder of Glamdring -- quite a lot to attribute to any one person, and I wanted to make him distinctive without being gaudy, but still have the look of one of Elrond's forebears. I had originally designed Turgon's overtunic to look like the lamed armor of the Elves used in the films, and decided I didn't care for it, for part of the same reasons I didn't use it for Haldir:  too military in appearance for someone going about the Sim neighborhood, even Sim Valinor.  But while his clothing is of my own design, Glamdring (the sword, at least, not the scabbard), is designed after the sword as it appeared in the movies, when Gandalf wielded it (pictured to the right and below).  It was a challenge that proved to work successfully, which is why there are so many pictures and versions of the character.  Two will present the full regalia, both with crown, one with the sword sheathed and suspended from a sword-belt, the other with the sword unsheathed and in hand; another version has the crown as a part of the body mesh, but no sword, and the fourth has neither crown nor sword.  I was quite pleased by the way Turgon turned out, and I hope others enjoy having him in their games.
