I began making these when I came up with the notion of having one of the community areas in my Valinor neighborhood be the Máhanaxar, The Ring of Doom, where the Valar met in council.  This is also the first entirely original object I created, and I quickly learned why I should have made it something like a counter or a box or something else simple in shape and depth.  After a good deal of tinkering, however, I finally got the z-buffers to work correctly (it doesn't disappear into the wall if you put it next to one, anymore!) and am working on making designs for all fourteen Valar.  I only have eight so far, but they're the thrones of the Aratar, the eight Chiefs of the Valar.  The others will come in time.
