TO USE AS NPCs:
Requires the free NPC Replacer program from Paladin's (see links page).  They will NOT replace the NPCs without it, and they WILL replace the NPCs for ALL neighborhoods.  The skins and meshes can also be used for regular Sims.

Merchants & Clerks

These are designed to be replacements for the "Expensive" and "Cheap" clerks that show up in downtown (and possibly community center) shops when you use certain cash registers (for which I eventually hope to have suitable looking replacements).  The notion of "hired help" in medieval shops was generally limited to the people who hauled the merchandise for the clients, not the people who handled the money; that was usually a task only to be trusted to the merchant who owned the shop and possibly their family.  So I look at the "expensive" clerks as being the merchant and his wife -- wealthy enough to dress more nicely and carry better goods, but not so wealthy that they didn't work in their store.  I view the "cheap" clerks as being owners of a less lucrative family business, where again both the owner and his wife did what tasks were needed, with their children acting as helpers who would learn the trade and one day inherit it.  Hats and headcoverings, worn even indoors, were quite common in medieval times, so I've used a few of them here.  All of them are associated with the body, so if you use these meshes and skins for your regular Sims, they will drop when the Sim changes clothes.
