Ossë and Uinen
Servants of Ulmo, Lord and Lady of the Inner Seas
Green hair. Who would've thought I'd ever wind up making Sims with green hair? One of the aspects of the game I dislike the most are all the bizarre haircolors that are part of the game and are nearly impossible to root out so you don't have to keep looking at heads of peculiar hues. So here I am, adding to it. How strange is life....
Originally, I hadn't intended to give either Ossë or Uinen peculiar hair color, but I'm still trying to avoid the common "Neptune" images, as well as the potential "Little Mermaid" aspects one might attribute to a Lady of the Seas. However, I also wanted to make them sufficiently distinctive so that they wouldn't be just another Elf or Maia in a crowd, and giving them unusual hair was better (I thought) than giving them strangely colored skin. I think I succeeded in avoiding the stereotypes without going overboard into weird (and I think Uinen looks sufficiently adult so that there isn't apt to be any "little" mermaid confusion about her).
It was also part of my aim to give Ossë a slightly rougish look, since at one point, he was cajoled into serving Melkor, and was only brought back to the service of Ulmo through the intervention of his wife and Aulë. The spear I have him holding in one of the pictures below is not included with the mesh; it's actually Gil-galad's Aiglos, borrowed to give Ossë something to hold. Both heads are "stay-put" meshes. I would have liked to have made Uinen's hair unbound, since Tolkien said that her hair was spread through all the waters of the world, but it was easier to articulate it and make it look right with it falling in a single long braid.
