I have no idea why my eccentric Muse was suddenly struck by an urge to tinker once again with the head skin for Olórin, but while doing so, it occurred to me that, being a servant of the king of the Valar, he might have reasonably frequent occasion to visit the heights of Mount Everwhite, so I decided to design a winter outfit for him, as a part of the Winter in the West project. The "indoor" version without the cloak was made because it also occurred to me that I had gone through quite a bit of trouble drawing the elaborate white knotwork pattern around the neckline (not to mention getting it to align properly in the texture mapping), most of which wouldn't be seen once the cloak was put into place. So if you ever wonder what my Sims wear under their accessories, here's a bit of the answer. :)

The head skin is actually part of my ongoing effort to come up with a skin for Olórin's face that is neither old nor young. It's still leaning toward the "too young" side, I think, but it's slowly getting there.

Against all expectations, my Muse and Real Life decided to cooperate and give me enough time and energy to complete the mesh and skin for Aulë's winter clothing, so that he and Yavanna can step out together in holiday style. Since I have often associated the color red with The Smith, it wasn't at all a stretch of the imagination to design him clothes in both jewel-toned ruby red and emerald green, to complement his wife's outfit. And all in time for Christmas!
