Nimloth
Wife of Dior, Kinswoman of Celeborn,
Mother of Elwing

As little as there is to go on concerning Dior, there's a whole lot more for him than there is for his wife Nimloth. We know that she was a Sindarin Elf of Doriath, kin to Celeborn, Dior's wife, mother of his three children, and was slain in the Fëanorian attack of Menegroth. Absolutely no description of her is given, although we do know that her name meant "white blossom." So in designing her Sim, I decided to go with the "white blossom" idea without making it a physical characteristic. Her gown is modeled around a scan of a piece of Japanese silk brocade I had lying about, which featured a pattern of white blossoms against a pale pink ground. After deciding to give her lighter brown hair and sea green eyes, I opted to go for a hair style similar to the one I had given Galadriel. Galadriel was said to have worn her hair braided (braided or somehow confined or covered hair was a common practice for married women of the Middle Ages, distinguishing them from the unwed maidens who wore their hair unbound), and it seems a practical habit for Elves of the woodlands, since it would be less likely to tangle in tree branches or underbrush.

The white flowers and golden leaves I added as decorative touches to Nimloth's hair are associated with her body mesh, not her head, so they will drop when she changes clothes.
