Marty McFly
Marty was my second skin, and turned out to be easier than Doc. He uses a standard body mesh from the basic game, but sports the "realchaz" head mesh from Fionn of SimFreaks, with my head and body skins. After thinking it over, I decided Marty's most distinctive outfit (other than the Clint Eastwood sarape from III) was the one he wore in 2015 while imitating his future son. The jeans and jacket were easy. Those shoes, however, were another pain in the butt. I designed this one for both a skinny and a fit body mesh, since I thought Marty looked too skinny in the former. I tend to the use the fit version when I play the game, but other people might prefer the thinner one. Too bad Sim adults don't come in different heights, too. (The pictures show Fit Marty.) Weirdly enough, my Marty took to playing the electric guitar like a fish to water. Left to wander on his own under free will when first moving into the house, he made a beeline for the guitar. After maxing out on Creativity, he continues to go for it whenever he feels in need of fun, completely ignoring the TV and everything else.
Marty's 1985 Denim Outfit
(without the "life preserver")
I think we saw more of Marty in this outfit, with and without various pieces, than any other. I would've liked to do it with the red "life preserver," the down vest that confused everyone in 1955, but I could not find a mesh that had a collar and torso that would accomodate it. This works rather well, and if I were a mesh artist, I would've added in the headphones, Walkman, and sunglasses that he carted around when wearing this outfit.
Marty's Victorian Outfit (included with basic Marty)
Anyone who knows a lot about men's wear of the past and present knows that from about 1850 to 1900, not a lot changed. There were generally three basic coat styles: frock, sack, and tails, with the frock coat being the preferred one for business, formal daywear, and just about any non-casual or non-evening activity. Black was the default color and acceptable just about anywhere. I didn't want the guys in my Victorian neighborhood to all look alike (aside from hair color), so I made outfits with differences. Marty has the formal black frock coat, but with bound lapels, a narrow non-bow tie, emerald green vest, and a rose boutonniere in his lapel. Made it much easier to tell him apart in group situations.
Jennifer Parker
Having done the guys, it was time to start working on their love interests. Since for the majority of the three films, Jennifer only wore one outfit, I went for that. She uses a standard body mesh; the head is Fionn's "real mane." I gave it a skin with hair color, features, and eyes to suit Jen.
Jennifer's Victorian Gown
(included with "Basic Jennifer")
Given that in the films, Jennifer had all of two outfits (one seen VERY briefly), there wasn't a lot to go on as to her fashion tastes, so I came up with something that at least went with her hair color. The stripes turned out to be more of a challenge than I'd anticipated, but they worked fairly well.
