Idril Celebrindal
Daughter of Turgon, Wife of Tuor, Mother of Eärendil

I had done a beautiful dark-haired Idril, since I couldn't recall if her hair color had ever been mentioned, so of course just as I was finishing the skins, I came across a reference to her having the golden hair of her Vanya mother. Sigh. Okay, out with the chestnut-hair version, in with the blonde. Fortunately, the change didn't look too bad, although the circlet and hair band at the back of the head showed up better against darker hair. Perhaps someday, I'll post a "makeover" version of the lady.
The blue and silver are of course a reference to the colors of her father, Turgon, and the silver slippers are a nod to her nickname "Celebrindal," which meant "silver-foot." Tolkien never really explains how or why she came by this particular name, and since I'm working primarily with costume design in making these characters, I figured she might have had a fondness for silver slippers. Why, heaven only knows, but it went well with the rest of her ensemble.
And now, by popular demand, here's a download of the skin I made for a dark haired version of Idril. The zip contains only the skin for the head, and will simply give you another option for the same head mesh. An image of the full figure with dark hair appears below.
