Although their story begins long before events of Lord of the Rings, I decided to put Galadriel and Celeborn in with the Elves of the Third Age, since it would seem that their greatest deeds came during that time (not to mention the fact that their story of this period is most familiar. And the area for Elves of the First Age was also getting rather crowded). Galadriel is the youngest child and only daughter of Finarfin; Celeborn's parentage is a little more sketchy and subject to debate, but Tolkien seemed reasonably clear on the fact that he was kin to Elwë, the king of Doriath. How close the kinship was... well, that seemed subject to which one of the tales concerning the meeting and marriage of Galadriel and Celeborn that you prefer. Did they meet in Doriath when Galadriel lived there, or in Valinor before the Revolt of the Noldor...? Whatever the case, we DO know that they became the Lord and Lady of Lothlórien after the loss of its previous ruler, Amroth (who may or may not have been their son). We also know that Celeborn had silver hair and Galadriel blonde (though again, what shade of blonde can be debated, since when he first introduces them in LotR, he says that her hair is "dark golden," but in other sources says that her hair was as gold and silver mingled, like the light of the two trees. Blonde. We'll just stick with a nice average shade of blonde, here).
As promised (or threatened, depending on your point of view ;), these versions of the characters are not based on their depictions in Peter Jackson's movies. That their clothing is white is from the book, and the various embellishments are meant to reflect their position as the rulers of Lothlórien. Galadriel's head-piece is based on the one I designed for Yavanna's formal gown, turned backward and bent so that the various vine-like curls and leaves will rest at the back of her head, with the addition of a simple circlet to the front. Her belt is also of golden leaves, fashioned after the golden winter leaves of the mallorn trees, and also reflecting one of the songs she sang on the day the Fellowship departed from Lothlórien: "I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew."
Celeborn's outfit also uses the leaf motif in his pendant and belt buckle, but also has touches of dark sea-green amid the whites and grays, an echo of his blood connection to the Sindar, the Telerin Elves who did not travel on the Crossing to Valinor. His circlet is a modified version of the one I made for Olórin's formal clothing, which struck me as appropriate, since Celeborn was supposedly wise, and Olórin was the wisest of the Maiar.
