Námo Formal
Námo Head (stay-put mesh)
Vairë Formal
Vairë Head (stay-put mesh)
Do the Doomsman of the Valar and his wife ever go to parties? Well, perhaps not very often, but one can presume that at the very least, they get out of the Halls for the formal occasion of going to court with the other Valar (which we certainly know they do; these two are a pair of virtual Chatty Cathy's in one of Tolkien's versions of the council at which the matter of Finwë and Miriel was discussed). Even so, just because Námo wasn't generally very talkative and we didn't know much about Vairë, in the Sims, they still need to socialize in order to have a well-balanced life, and being quiet doesn't mean they might not like to dress up (unlike Ulmo).
For Vairë, I opted to stick with the net motif, in darker but richer colors and designs, with the addition of a fancy corded belt and high choker necklace, also in a web-like pattern. Since "Námo" means "judge," I wanted to make his formal wear have a sort of "judicial" flavor to it, which I tried to achieve with the split-front cloak, corded loop across the chest, and the high collar. In the back, the collar is deeply notched to allow his hair to fall through without poking through the collar itself too much.
Both of the new heads are the same basic mesh as the old, altered to be of the stay-put variety. As you may or may not have noticed with the other replacements on the formals pages, they are not numbered to overwrite the old meshes, in case there are folk who prefer the older static variety. And all of them are normal head meshes -- meaning they should be installed in the GameData/Skins file, NOT the ExpansionShared/SkinsBuy file. Guess I should've mentioned that sooner...
