Wife of Turgon

Although she did not survive the crossing of the Helcaraxë  to become Turgon's queen in Gondolin, I decided to add Elenwë to my growing group of Eldar, partly to have a representative of the Vanyar Elves (who were not exiled with the Noldor), and partly to give Turgon someone to share his rather large house with in my Aman neighborhood.  Very little is said about Elenwë, other than the fact that she was Vanyar and didn't survive the crossing to Middle-earth after the Revolt, but since Turgon showed no apparent interest in having anyone else as queen of Gondolin, one can presume that he was quite devoted to his wife and hoped to be reunited with her someday, after her release from the Halls of Waiting.

This time, the head and body are in separate downloads, because I made a version of the hair that will stay in place when she moves her head (the poke-through effect is always most disturbing to me when the hair comes forward over the shoulders). The images here depict the "stay-put" version of the hair.  As usual, it will distort the thumbnails (not the active Sim) in the game, but the distortion does not obscure the face.  What it does is lift up the hair on both sides of the head, creating a rather bizarre look, but one that is tolerable if one doesn't mind distorted thumbnails.  If you do, select the "static" version, which will poke through the body when she moves her head but won't distort the thumbnails.   And as always, the circlet is linked to the body mesh, so that it will come off when she changes clothes.

It's purely coincidental, but I realized after completing her that Elenwë bears a strong facial resemblance to my late mother. Mom's hair was dark, not blonde, but even my older sister saw the similarity. Very strange, indeed.
