| "Doc" Emmett L. Brown My favorite character from BTTF was also my first skin, and in some ways, the biggest pain in the neck. Designing his clothing was easy. Getting the right long-haired male head mesh was not. What I ended up using that turned out to be most successful was the "Dave" mesh from Maxis' MTV Skin Pack. Reworking the face was easier than turning the hair from blond to white and still get it to look right, but it finally came out just fine. I also have a version of this outfit with a long-sleeved white undershirt, as well as a brown and tan outfit similar to the one Doc of 1955 wore during the climactic scenes of the first movie. |

| Doc's 1890's Outfit from the End of BTTF III I know this outfit entirely too well. In 1991, I constructed replicas of both this costume and Clara's lavender and black Gay '90s dress from the very end of the third movie, to enter in a competitive masquerade at a science fiction convention (yes, we won). I went to see the movie at least half a dozen times for the sole purpose of gleaning details from the big screen that couldn't be seen on a videotape. Little things, like Doc's two pocket watches, the fob (two brass keys and a tiny clock), a jet lapel clip.... A big thanks to Jerome, who designed a mesh capable of accommodating both proper pants and the longer coat. And as you can see, the Doc CAN dance! |

| Clara Clayton She was a much bigger problem than Jennifer, since she either needed to have her hair pinned up, or down and long, which isn't available in any of the Maxis provided skins or meshes (discounting "the bun," which looks absolutely dreadful. If you have it, Fionn's real hollywood mesh works pretty well with the skin if you want to do Clara with her hair up). Though I know there's a bustle-dress mesh available from one of the fan sites, I eschewed using that, since I was putting Clara into the present, not the past, and one person in the neighborhood running around in a bustle gown might've looked darned awkward. What I used was a standard body mesh for which I designed a modern dress I thought Clara might like (but I really could like better, since it was my first shot at a dress. This will doubtless be changed in the future). The head mesh I used is the "real ring" head from Fionn. |

| Clara's Victorian Outfit (included with "Basic Clara") I actually have a bunch of these for her, using the JM mesh, but this is the one I like the best. The calico is a scanned scrap of fabric I happened to have lying about my sewing room from a quilting project, and the lavender and teal trim is something from my "gonna do something with it someday collection" of fabrics and trim. The general style of the dress was extremely popular in the '90s, if the fashion magazines and pattern catalogues from the time are any indication. Eventually, I hope to have the custom mesh skinned and available for download. |

The "Clara Collections"

Although I still haven't been able to puzzle out the problems of making Jerome's custom mesh work properly, as I said, I have a bunch of skins for her using the 1890s mesh shown above, and here are some of the better ones. You can use the same 923 mesh provided above for all of them, but no meshes are included in these zips. Each collection contains the clothing skins shown in the picture. |

Once Hot Date came along and getting the Sims into different pajamas was as easy as taking them downtown on a shopping trip, it was high time to get these two out of those silly green PJs and into something more appropriate. Although I have only the one nightgown for Clara (which uses a mesh for which I'm still searching for the creator), there are actually three different nightshirts for Doc, a plain white one, this blue striped one, and a rather loud green one. Doc's jammies use Jerome's "male skirt" mesh (which I believe was designed either for a kilt or a toga). TAKE NOTE: All of these are for use with Hot Date ONLY. All the body meshes and skins are for use as buyables, and must be placed in the Skins Buy folder (Expansion Pack 3 if you have only up to Hot Date, Expansion Shared if you have Vacation, Unleashed, SuperStar, and/or Makin' Magic). |
