Amrod and Amras
Youngest sons of Fëanor

Probably the greatest distinction of Fëanor's twin sons is that they are most notable among the very few Elves that probably had red hair. Unlike some of their older brothers, they didn't appear to have their father's temperament, and it was repeatedly said of them that they were great hunters. However, they took part in what Tolkien described as the last and most grievous of the Kinslayings among the Elves, the attack on the Havens of Sirion, where they were both killed. So though they pretty much seem to have kept to themselves except in times of war, they apparently weren't spending their time pursuing more genteel habits.

Coming up with sufficiently distinctive outfits for identical twin hunters was slightly challenging, mostly because of their red hair and the problems of certain colors combined with that particular hair color. Using a bold pattern along with a dark wine-shade made it possible to get away with using red on Amrod. Green is a traditionally good color for redheads as well as a good hunter's color, and since I'd used burgundy on Amrod, I didn't run the risk of having the pair of them look like they were decked out for Christmas by using it for Amras. I managed to work in the star device in Amrod's belt and cuffs, and also in the clip holding together the three braids at the back of Amras' head. After making too small a difference in the head meshes for Elladan and Elrohir (even I have trouble telling them apart in the game), I was determined not to have the same problem with this pair.
